Our colleagues at the ZOO are also looking forward to 40 pairs of hardworking hands of ironworkers. If you choose this location for your volunteer activity as part of the Metallurgists for Košice event, you will participate in the improvement of the new visitor route on May 30.
Part of the volunteers will clean the area from self-seeded trees above the lynx breeding facility, towards the bison breeding facility. Another part will continue around the bison breeding facility, where it will be necessary to paint metal fences and install benches.
"We are preparing a new route for visitors, which will also take them to the forest upper areas of the zoo on a path above the bison breeding facility, from where there is a beautiful view of the entire Košice Basin and the Slanské Hills. Your skilled employees will help us to open this route as soon as possible," said Eva Malešová, Head of the Marketing and Communication Department.
There are 4 bison and red deer living in the breeding facility, including 2 cubs. They are very curious and you will be able to observe them up close while working.
It is not only our 20th year of Volunteer Day that is jubilee. The Košice Zoo, which celebrates its 40th visitor season, is also a jubilee. Volunteers will certainly use this day not only for work, but also for a walk around the garden after it is over. As is usually the case, colleagues from the ZOO will thank our employees with free, family tickets.
