 CALENDAR OF EVENTS

together for the region

  • The mission of the program is to motivate, identify and support community development projects initiated by local groups and prepared and executed in wide multi-stakeholder partnerships.
  • The program seeks for projects initiated by local groups from communities in Eastern Slovakia and developed in local partnerships. Participation of USSK employees in the projects could increase their involvement in self-help activities and strengthen their relationship with their communities and region.

scholarship PROGRAM

  • The program supports talented students from children's homes, incomplete families and those living in socially disadvantaged conditions in Eastern Slovakia in studying at colleges and universities, in accordance with the donation and sponsorship criteria and activities of U. S. Steel Košice (since 2004).
  • also supports talented children of U. S. Steel Košice full-time employees in studying at colleges and universities (since 2007)

the young athlete support program

  • This program is focused on children gifted in sport - hockey and basketball talent from socially disadvantaged families. The company U. S. Steel wants to give the opportunity for talent to flourish regardless of social background.

  • The scope of this project is to help colleagues and their families with children, who are in adversity, to get out of the social isolation, to recover their psychic and to have positive experiences of cultural, social and sporting events to which they are invited during the year.

NEWS FROM SECTION EMPLOYEES

We'll assemble dog shelters

For regular or first-time volunteers, the shelter offers several activities to improve the quality of dog care as part of the Hutníci pre Košice event.

Hands for greenery

If you want to spend the day in the pleasant surroundings of the Botanical Garden, improve its area and meet new people, register for the event Steelmakers for Košice which will take place on Saturday, May 24th.
