THE 19TH YEAR OF THE GRANT PROGRAM TOGETHER FOR THE REGION IS CURRENTLY OPEN.
GRANT APPLICATIONS CAN BE SUBMITTED BY MARCH 6, 2026.
A TOTAL OF € 40,000 WILL BE DISTRIBUTED IN THE 19TH YEAR OF THE PROGRAM TO SUPPORT COMMUNITY PROJECTS FROM THE KOŠICE AND PREŠOV REGIONS.
Grants from this program have been available on application to non-profit organizations and local councils for projects actively involving employees of U. S. Steel Košice and its subsidiaries in the Košice and Prešov regions. Grants up to the maximum amount of 4,000 euros can be awarded to support activities increasing safety in all areas of life, development activities for children and youth and initiatives in the area of environmental protection and preservation of cultural heritage.

So far, 161 community projects have been supported in the Together for the Region program with a total amount exceeding € 410,000.

Two decades of help, teamwork and new acquaintances... The 20th year of the Steelmakers for Košice event will take place at the end of May.
Today has been opened the 19th year of the Together for the Region grant program. Grant applications can be submitted by March 6, 2026.
Our grant program helps developing the skills of youth hockey players.
Kindergarten Budanova in Kavečany created a space for children to learn about nature.
The almost five-ton shipment was taken over from us last week by the Secondary Vocational School of Industrial Technology in Košice – Šaca.
We supported young athletes from floorball clubs led by the Leisure Center in Košice.
In the center of the village of Cestice, the municipal park area has come to life, which is especially enjoyed by families with children. Thanks to the U. S. Steel Košice Together for the Region grant program.
Thirteen of our colleagues, along with their families and friends, volunteered to run the largest refreshment station on the course of the Košice Peace Marathon.
It took five and a half minutes for each of the nearly 4,000 participants in the U.S. Steel Family Run mini marathon to cross the starting line.
