Thanks to our grant, it was possible to connect the regions.
U. S. Steel Košice, s.r.o. announced on April 16, 2024 eleven supported projects in the 17th edition of the Together for the Region grant program. A total of over 30 000 euros will be distributed to support public-benefit community activities in Eastern Slovakia.
Grants from this program have been available on application to non-profit organizations and local councils for projects actively involving employees of U. S. Steel Košice and its subsidiaries in the Košice and Prešov regions. Grants up to the maximum amount of 3 000 euros have been awarded to support innovative projects designed to improve safety in all fields of life, develop purposeful free-time activities for children and young people, as well as to promote environmental activities and cultural values preservation. In past 17 years, 151 projects with a total amount of €380,000 have received support in the program.
