CHARACTERISTICS

All U. S. Steel Košice hot roll products are produced utilizing modern steel making practices to insure that superior chemical composition and product quality are achieved. The fully killed steel is 100% continuously cast into steel slabs. Our continuous casters supply our hot strip mill with the best quality slabs produced anywhere in the world. The product is hot rolled to produce a final coil with uniform mechanical properties, dimensional characteristics, flatness and surface quality. We continue to update our facilities and processes as new technologies develop. U. S. Steel is committed to serving our hot rolled customers!

U. S. Steel Košice produces hot rolled products in coil, slit coils and sheets. Hot rolled structural grades are suitable for construction applications, for parts of thermal and power equipment, etc. U. S. Steel Košice has implemented and mintains a quality control system in accordance with the standard EN ISO 9001, as well as in accordance with IATF 16949 for automotive industry, issued by TÜV SÜD.

The U. S. Steel Košice quality control system is in accordance with international standard EN ISO 9001, issued by TÜV CERT. Presented products can be certified in accordance with the European Parliament regulation 2014/68/EU, UDT Poland, and by the Ü mark for steels used in German civil engineering.
