Many young talents are not allowed to develop simply because the financial aspects of their sport are very demanding for the family. The company U. S. Steel endeavors to level the playing field, with chances and opportunities for all.

A concrete expression of this approach are two programs intended for the support of children gifted in sport - hockey and basketball talent from socially disadvantaged families. The company U. S. Steel wants to give the opportunity for talent to flourish regardless of social background.

Since the beginning of the project in 2006 U. S. Steel Košice has contributed 220 247 euros to club membership fees and equipment for 588 young athletes.
