In the Autumn of Life civic association, they took stock of the ending year. In the beautifully and festively decorated premises, the head of the civic association Anna Havierová was the first to take the floor: "On behalf of everyone, we thank U. S. Steel Košice for their selfless help in ensuring the operation of the Autumn of Life civic association and the club activities of our seniors. We especially sincerely and from the bottom of our hearts thank all the members who contributed to the good name of the Autumn of Life at social and sports events."

A ceremonial toast was made by Miroslav Brožek: "I wish all ironworkers and us, seniors, especially good health and happy holidays. Even though the year is not over yet and the company is not yet evaluating economic results, we seniors are running away sooner and we can already evaluate sports results. Our seniors – athletes have already reached the finish line."

Everyone is extremely proud of the results they have achieved in sports. That is why part of the party was the presentation of cups, which were handed over to the best by the wife of the acting president, Allison Revello, who said that it was a really great honor for her.

The team of petanque players consisting of: Rudolf Prieložný, Vladimír Šándrik and Štefan Demko, with captain Ondrej Sabol , became the champion of the city league this year, for the third time in a row.

Cups for excellent results were also received by members of the table tennis team, led by captain Miroslav Koscelanský. The biggest cup was taken from the hands of Allison Revello by Milka Košická.  It is the Cup of the Mayor of the City of Košice, which was won by women for 1st place at the Summer Sports Games for Seniors.

The director of the Council of Seniors of the City of Košice, Ján Caban, is also proud of the results and work of his home club, of which he is now an honorary member,   and he also attended the meeting in the Autumn of Life.

A very pleasant afternoon continued with delicious food. Cabbage soup was served, which is familiarly called Brožkovica in the club. Traditionally, it is cooked by Hela and Miro Brožkovci. It tasted really great. 

For the guests (Allison Revello, Slávka Tvrdoňová – administrator of the U. S. Steel Košice Foundation and me) Hela Brožková packed a great cabbage soup "for home".

Allison said: "Thank you for the beautiful reception I received, for a very pleasant afternoon with you delicious cabbage soup.  I wish everyone beautiful and happy holidays."
