Just next week, on Tuesday, January 16 the organizers of the 2018 U. S. Steel Košice employees' Winter Sports Games will be starting off the 51st edition of the ice-hockey tournament for the USSK President's Cup, during which a total of twelve teams will be competing for the best placement up until the final duel on February 15 of this year.

During matches the spectators and players alike will be able to join in a tipster competition called Guess the Hockey Tournament Finalist, and the games themselves will be enhanced by another contest to find the best, i.e. the loudest and most creative fan club. Preparations are also already in full swing for the cross-country skiing races, due to take place up at Kojšovská hoľa on January 20, and for the giant slalom competition planned for February 10 up at Jahodná. Big space at the latter will be given over to children, who in addition to the sports events will have the chance to take part in a rich accompanying program. They can look forward to races on sleds and toboggans, skis and snowboards, as well as crazy mascots, fun games and contests, and the always popular carnival with a best costume show.
