The twelfth edition of the annual international 24-hour virtual competition named SteelChallenge 2017 has produced its best project-solvers. Together with thousands of other young steelmakers and students from every continent, ten representatives of U. S. Steel Košice sat down at their computers on November 29 and 30 to simulate the “production” of a given grade of steel at the lowest possible cost. Among all these unknown rivals competing in the four territories of North and South America, Europe, CIS with the Middle East and Africa, then Asia and Oceania and finally China, one of the most successful was researcher Matúš Horváth from the department of GM R&D USSE. In the European territory he took an excellent second place. Congratulations!
United States Steel Corporation (NYSE: X) today provided second quarter 2024 adjusted net earnings per diluted share guidance of $0.76 to $0.80.
