Students address metallurgists

Kosice, February 15, 2006 - the 17th upcoming exhibition in the U. S. Steel Kosice Gallery will be a demonstration of how young people perceive safety. Safety, which is a priority for the company U. S. Steel Kosice, was a topic for students within the project Professionals Work Safely. Graphical art and photographs have a chance to address mostly younger generations, since their authors belong to the young generation as well.

The Project started on September 13, 2005 with a meeting of the President David Lohr and other company management members with the students of SOU Hutnicke (Metallurgical Apprentice School) Saca. A part of this campaign was a photograph and paper contest indicating safe behavior. Almost 600 students from 25 schools sent 710 contributions to the contest. The President, David Lohr, rewarded the authors of the most original contributions by cameras and sports equipment. The exhibition SAFETY FIRST will be a demonstration of the best opuses of School of Art Design, Private Art (Movie) School Kosice, Department of Creative Art and TU Faculty of Arts.

Exhibit opening will be on Friday, February 17, 2006 at 8:30 a.m. The exhibition will be available to public by March 31, 2006 during business days from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
