A gift of new instruments and equipment for the Louis Pasteur University Hospital in Košice was presented symbolically today by U. S. Steel Košice President James Bruno. After the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Košice steelmakers reacted quite spontaneously and set aside a financial contribution with priority for the hospital's Infectology and Travel Medicine Clinic, which is where health-care workers in the Košice region concentrated their strength in order to help patients with complications during their treatment for COVID-19 infection. A new ultrasound device and portable ECG machine, mobile body temperature measuring sets, a ramp for patients in wheelchairs, camera systems for the wards and other equipment with a total value exceeding 65 000 euros will serve the staff for providing patients with faster treatment and improved care.
United States Steel Corporation (NYSE: X) today provided second quarter 2024 adjusted net earnings per diluted share guidance of $0.76 to $0.80.
