The family of U. S. Steel Košice divisions which have achieved one and a half million employee-hours worked without injury was joined on February 12 of this year by the Radiators and Pipes Division.

This admirable success was recalled by nearly 170 employees of the Division together with their Director Vladimír Timko at the traditional working breakfast on February 17 with Košice steelworks President Scott Buckiso. The meeting was of course also attended by GM Rolling Mills Ladislav Hanuščalka and GM Occupational Safety and Hygiene and REACH Mark Salo, who congratulated all the Division employees on this excellent result and thanked them for the efforts they have put into improving safety at work. They went on to discuss their ongoing work in revealing further dangers and risks.
