This Monday, October 26, U. S. Steel Košice and the Carpathian Foundation jointly opened the by now ninth edition of the Together for the Region grant program in support of public-benefit community projects. Grants can be applied for by non-profit organizations and local councils in the Košice and Prešov self-governing regions which feature the active involvement of employees of U. S. Steel Košice and its subsidiary companies. Grants will be awarded in order to support the implementation of innovative projects in the sphere of improving safety in all areas of life, meaningful leisure activities for children and young people, as well as environmental activities and education. The closing date for accepting grant applications is January 15, 2016.
