Since joining the ironworks in 1991, Marián Dulákhas become a maintenance worker in body and soul. This is how Miroslav Šoltýs, Head of Maintenance at DZ Teplá valcovňa, evaluates it. From his evaluation, we have selected: "From the beginning of his career, Marián Dulák has been improving the production equipment on the TŠP line as a mechanical designer. Many times, he has contributed to increasing the reliability and durability of equipment with his project solution. After moving to the Teplá valcovňa plant, he continued to work as a repair technologist and brought other constructive ideas. Although he is currently the Chief Production Support Manager, his interest in maintenance remains. As a person, he excels in a serious and responsible approach to work. He is modest and in every team he worked in, he was one of the leaders."
"I came to work at the ironworks mainly because both of my parents, who came to Košice to work, also worked here. It was so automatic. My older brother studied at the Metallurgical Secondary School and I studied at the same vocational school. After graduation, I continued my studies at the Technical University in Košice and then headed back to the ironworks. The fact that I work at DZ Teplá valcovňa is more of a coincidence. I started on the structure, in the ITES plant. Coincidentally, my first boss was about to retire, so I was assigned to maintain the hot rolling mill. When the activity of ITES was reduced, I switched to the maintenance of the hot rolling mill. First as a repair technologist, reliability technologist, then I became a middle maintenance manager, maintenance manager, and now I am the main support manager of DZ Teplá valcovňa. I have never run away from a warm rolling mill," says Marián Dulák.
When asked why, he replied as follows: "I enjoy my work, I know the operation perfectly and I enjoy doing what I studied. To this day, I'm more involved in maintenance, modernization, I've always been drawn there. It is necessary to solve many problems, to look for their causes, which requires a lot of work, especially technical professional work. A lot of knowledge and experience is needed to solve failures and search for causes. I cooperate not only with the operation, but also with central maintenance, maintenance of other plants and with other colleagues, external companies... It's varied, that's why I enjoy it. T he children have not yet expanded the ironworks family. " So far. My son is studying computer science at TUKE, maybe in a year he will come for an internship and who knows, maybe one day he will find employment in our company. My daughter is a doctor."
They know a lot about his work, they have always been interested in it, they know where he works, what he does. Frequent phone calls home when there is a problem are no exception. The children, but also his wife, are very proud of him and the Loyalty at Work Award that was awarded to him. His colleagues, among whom he has many friends, wish him the same.
How does he like to spend his free time? "I'm a new grandfather, I have a little grandson and that's what I'm looking forward to the most at the moment. I'm finishing a family house, it's a lot of work. And I really like to stroller," said Marián Dulák.
