On May 16 of this year the milestone of one million five hundred thousand employee-hours worked without injury was reached in turn by the Cold Strip Mill Division. The best part of two hundred employees representing the whole range of workplaces in the division were invited to a working breakfast on May 25 by U. S. Steel Košice President Scott D. Buckiso, as is now customary on such occasions. He asked the employees who were present to pass on his thanks to the rest of the Cold Rolling Mill team for the good work they have done, and together with other top managers of the Company he emphasized the vital role that teamwork has played as one of the underlying reasons for their success.
