At the beginning of the year, we cannot avoid planning. Vacations, medical check-ups, work meetings. Our Volunteer Days are no exception. The event Steelmakers for Košice is scheduled for May 23-24 this year. Many of you, blood donors, are adjusting your donations so that you can participate in the Steelmakers's Drop of Blood. It will take place on Friday, May 23. On Saturday, May 24, we will traditionally meet in the locations that we will help improve. We would be happy if you would join us in this, the 19th year of the event.

If you don't want to wait that long and you feel like helping, volunteer activities in our region offer platforms that connect people and organizations with the determination to make the places where we live better. A list of volunteer opportunities in the Košice Region is offered by the volunteer portal growni.sk or the Volunteer Center of the Košice Region.

Thanks to current offers, you can become a lecturer at the Nižná Myšľa Archeoskanzen, a friend for a child from an orphanage, or a Slovak conversation tutor for people from Ukraine. You can help children from the Roma community or make seniors' time in facilities for seniors more enjoyable. If you are interested in helping out at interesting places, Turnian Castle will welcome your help with the restoration, or you can join the volunteers in Tokaj who help maintain cycle paths and recreational zones.
