Altogether more than one hundred and forty children in the Uralska Street Foster Home in Košice as well as the Klement Hofbauer Foster Home in Podolinec, in families of our colleagues involved in the "We are with you at the right time" project, but also young adults in the Halfway Houses in Košice and Prešov experienced great moments before the holidays when Christmas packages arrived for them from the Košice steelworks. And these were tremendous gifts. Mária Kiraľvargová, Beáta Pitoráková, Viera Novosadová and Susan Hathaway, along with the Vice Presidents and the wife of the President of U. S. Steel Košice Donna Buckiso, came to hand them over on behalf of the employees of the plant, only a few days before Christmas Eve. "I wanted exactly the same Lego ... Great! I didn’t believe I would actually receive this kit... I am very happy!" "Is it really mine? I don’t know what to say..." "Look what I got. I have a doll, a doll." "Aren't these sneakers perfect?! " Cries of joy could be heard from all sides when the boys and girls unpacked their gifts.

And even though it is now after the holidays, their charm certainly remains in the children’s souls thanks to the good people from the plant who satisfied the Christmas wishes of so many absolutely unknown children.
