In the Together for the Region grant program, we received a record number of 47 applications. We accepted grant applications until Friday, March 6. The grant program supports the implementation of projects in four areas: safety, children and youth, environmental programs and education and cultural heritage.
Traditionally, the most, a total of 28 accepted projects, are focused on children and youth. Another 11 are related to cultural heritage. Many applications fall into several categories, for example, 14 projects focus on the environment and children and young people at the same time, and 9 on the safety of children and youth.
In the coming weeks, we will focus on checking the received applications and selecting the winning projects from those that meet the conditions of the grant call. We will inform about which entities will receive a grant in the second half of April.
The Together for the Region grant program is financed by U. S. Steel Košice, and in this year's 19th year of the program, we will redistribute a total of €40,000, while the maximum grant amount for one project is €4,000.
