Until yesterday, applicants for a grant from the Together for the Region program could send their applications. And indeed, they used the last minute, some projects arrived just before midnight. We received a total of 28 applications, of which 24 were from the Košice region and 4 applications from the Prešov region.

Up to 80% of the projects are focused on children and youth, some of them also fall into the category of safety or the environment. Three applications are related to the preservation of cultural heritage.

A condition of the grant call is the involvement of U. S. Steel Košice employees in the activities of the submitted projects. In total, we counted 64 committed colleagues.

Most applicants learned about the call from our website, from our employees, or from X App Košice. Some also received an e-mail from the MIRRI SR information and advisory line.

We received interesting projects. Redistributing €30,000 from the Together for the Region program and selecting the best ones will be a big challenge for the evaluation committee.

After a formal review and evaluation of the projects, the results will be published in April.
