On Wednesday February 10, 2016 we were familiarized with best projects of the year 2015, which have won the U. S. Steel Košice President's Award. Scott Buckiso, President of U. S. Steel Košice, Vice-Presidents, General Managers, and Directors of the Steel Company's Division Plants, as well as Trade Union Leaders led by Mikuláš Hintoš, Chairman of the Council of Trade Unions KOVO U. S. Steel Košice, s. r. o. took part in the official Ceremony held at the Košice Social Pavilion, followed by the award ceremony at which awards have been handed out to more than two hundred employees participating in the implementation of fifteen most successful projects in five categories.

“I am proud of the results of the year 2015 and you can also be proud of them,” Scott Buckiso said to those present. “I hope we will maintain the good trend also in 2016. It will be a very difficult year. Let us work to make it successful. Look along with your colleagues at your workplaces for solutions which would produce the results similar to yours,“ he challenged the Steelworks employees present in the hall and designated them as this Company's leaders. He also thanked all employees of U. S. Steel Košice for the work done in meeting the objectives of the Carnegie Way Process, as well as the General Manager Process & Technology Excellence and Manufacturing Transformation USSE Ján Petko for his input in the projects.
