Tool vending machines have been added to the operation of Mechanics Division Plant. So far there are two of them, the third one will be delivered during this month. The machines contain 75 types of materials and the list of items will gradually expand. The third machine will contain another 90 types of materials: drills, taps, threaded eyes, etc. They are currently used by one hundred selected employees and more will be added over time. The issue of material is tied to an ID card. An indisputable advantage is the availability of material 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We learned more from Juraj Mondík, director of material management:

"We decided to install these machines because of flexibility and efficiency. Of course, we cannot place all the necessary tools into them, so to begin with, we chose a sample of items based on turnover. The machines will also store so-called small chemicals, such as silicone, liquid metal, screw sealants, and also consumables such as grinding and cutting discs."

The vending machines are in trial operation until June 30, 2025. If their operation is evaluated as successful, the vending machines will be gradually installed in other locations.
