U. S. Steel Košice is selling off its commercial interest in the company RMS Košice, s.r.o. and the sale negotiations have reached their final point. The new 100 percent owner as of October 1 of this year is expected to be Košice company Termostav–Mráz.

The new owner is also expected to retain all the employees, and their benefits should be preserved as set out in the collective agreement currently in force. U. S. Steel Košice wants to concentrate further on its essential line of business, i.e. manufacturing steel products, but also counts on intensifying its cooperation with this traditional supplier of refractory materials, i.e. Termostav-Mráz.
