At the beginning of March a U. S. Steel Košice top management communication meeting was held by means of the Microsoft Teams application. The meeting agenda consisted of subjects concerning the Company’s results for last year and its aims for this year. USSK President Jim Bruno informed those present about the Company’s priorities in 2021: “Our priorities are based on those set out by the Corporation. First and foremost they are the S.T.E.E.L. principles, which determine how we communicate with each other, with customers, and with our business partners generally.
We try to do all we can to run our operations as ethically as possible. Our priorities also include customer orientation, and the Great Competition which our Company has been organizing since the beginning of this year fits totally into this context. Its goal is to fully familiarize all of our employees and their family members with the range of usage of our steel. We want to be a company whose every employee knows the details of its products. Equally we want to make use of this project to ensure that our employees find out more about the environmental issues connected with steel production, and about the solutions we are preparing. Another important aspect is and will continue to be the activities of U. S. Steel’s Women’s Inclusion Network, which we also support here in Košice.“
