30. 9. 2004, Kosice - OBAL- SERVIS, a.s., subsidiary of U. S. Steel Kosice, received prize in the prestigious "best package" competition Gold Pack 2004. Sample enrolled in the competition "Rounding Machine for Steel Coil Packaging" gained prize in the category C - packaging technologies and equipment.

Prize is awarded once every two years, at the event of Polygraphy, Paper industry, packaging and packing technologies trade show "Printing & Packing" in Bratislava, on the basis of decision by expert review committee. The competition is held under auspices of Ministry of Economy, Slovak Center for Design in Bratislava, Economy University in Bratislava - Commercial Faculty and advertising agency A-21 s.r.o.

GOLD PACK is a prize which possesses statute of international competition and fills criteria for presenting the sample at world-wide competition WORDSTAR. This way gained GOLD PACK protected trade mark. If the quality parameters are maintained, company may use this prize for further advertising or promotions of its trade mark.
