It has become a tradition every October and November for U. S. Steel Košice management to meet with their employees who have reached significant working anniversaries in the current calendar year: 30, 35, 40 and 45 years worked at the steelworks.

This year will be no exception. The meetings with representatives of Company management and labor union organizations will be taking place on October 13 and 17 and then on November 10 and 24, and long-serving employees will be invited together with their spouses. During these gala evenings each of them will receive a commemorative medal and a letter of thanks from Company President Scott Buckiso. Employees who have worked at the steelworks for 40 or 45 years will be given a wristwatch as a keepsake.
