Looking back upon the new technology classroom

At the end of the year, we usually take stock. We received a nice report with photos, evaluating the good that was achieved, from the Leisure Centre (CVČ). You may remember that in September, thanks to support from our grant program Together for the Region, CVČ opened a new technical education classroom at its allocated workplace at Juhoslovanská 2 in the Ťahanovce housing estate.

Helena Labovská , director of the CVČ, sums up the use of the new classroom as follows:

“Thanks to the financial support of US Steel as part of the Smart Children for the Region project, we have equipped a new technology classroom. From mid-September to mid-December, we held:

  • 31 cycles of Technical Literacy for 4 schools,
  • district rounds of the Technical Olympiad for districts Košice I and III,
  • City technical competition,
  • two hobby groups Hobby workshop,
  • St. Nicholas events for children in hobby groups.

A total of exactly 700 people participated in the activities in the technical education classroom. Thank you.”

And there was also a Christmas greeting from the CVČ team to all our employees. It seems that the technical classroom is doing exceptionally well. We wish them many skilled children and many beautiful products in the New Year.
