The ranks of the U. S. Steel Košice employees will be reinforced in the coming weeks with dozens of young, talented people. Last Friday, April 5, there was a meeting attended by USSK President Jim Bruno and Vice Presidents Martin Pitorák (Human Resources), Marcel Novosad (Operations) and Richard Shank (IT), GM Human Resources Provisioning and Development Milan Polča and members of his team, OZ KOVO U. S. Steel Košice Labor Union Council President Juraj Varga, Technical University of Košice Prorector for Education Ervín Lumnitzer, Košice-Šaca Vocational School Principal Peter Smolnický and the Railways Vocational School in Košice Principal Vladimír Korček. At this meeting agreements were signed between the Company, represented by its top executives, and 32 school graduates for future employment contracts as well as 11 university graduates for full-time employment contracts. All of them are to work in the steelworks production operations in positions ranging from steelmaking equipment operator, machine and equipment mechanic, milling and welding machine programer and electro-technical mechanic right through to management associate.
