The organizers of the international Kosice Peace Marathon, taking place in the city this Sunday, October 4, have already closed registration. A record number of 10922 participants from 49 countries have registered for the oldest marathon event in Europe. There will be 3599 runners in the half-marathon race, and 1735 endurance specialists in the full marathon. The Getrag Marathon 4 x 1/4 team relay race has as many as 760 runners taking part, including a team from U. S. Steel Kosice, but by far the greatest participation by the Kosice steelmakers will be in the popular run over the 4200-meter course known as the U. S. Steel Family Run. The limited number of 3250 starting numbers was quickly sold out. As is now traditional, Kosice spectators will be able to admire some superb runners from Africa, who rank among the favorites for the marathon itself.
United States Steel Corporation (NYSE: X) today provided second quarter 2024 adjusted net earnings per diluted share guidance of $0.76 to $0.80.
