The first Sunday in October, 10.4.2015, was dedicated in Košice to the 92nd edition of the annual, international Kosice Peace Marathon. There was record participation again this year, consisting of 11 034 starters from 49 countries of the world, competing in thirteen different running events. The Marathon was won by the Kenyan runner Samuel Kosgei in a time of 2h07m07s, and the marathon line-up also featured several endurance runners from the Kosice steelmaking company. There was an excellent result for Milos Popovic from the Transportation Division, who took 17th place with his time of 2h44m50s. Other steelmakers could be seen in the half-marathon including USSK President Scott Buckiso, 4 x 1/4 relay races, and with their families in the U. S. Steel Family Run mini-marathon.
