Ever since 1924 the first Sunday in October has been dedicated to the Kosice Peace Marathon. This year‘s participation reached almost 12 000 runners in various running categories. The Marathon is very popular among our employees and customers and business partners as well. Mario Longhi was welcomed at the event by Mayor Rasi, Minister for Trade and Industry of the Slovak Republic Peter Ziga and the KPM organising committee. At the start of the event we saw hundreds of steelmakers. Our CEO Mario Longhi congratulated many runners including U. S. Steel Kosice President Scott Buckiso, who took part in the relay. Relay teams are often created by our employees and our customers.
