Within an interval of one and a half months, the second divisional plant in the section of General Manager Rolling Mills, the Hot Rolling Mill, has succeeded in working 1 500 000 employee-hours without injury. They achieved this result on June 26 of this year, and in the wider forum which is now standard for acknowledging this achievement, more than 150 division employees were invited to a working breakfast on Monday, July 4, with U. S. Steel Košice President Scott Buckiso. This meeting was also attended by GM Occupational Safety and Hygiene and REACH Mark Salo, GM Rolling Mills Ladislav Hanuščalka and Hot Rolling Mill plant director Štefan Novák. In his speech to the employees representing the rolling mill team, Scott Buckiso congratulated them on their achievement and further emphasized that nothing is so important in our everyday efforts as the employees' safety. He stressed that it is necessary to think about this in every activity.
