Thanks to cooperation with Košice City Hall, since January 8 a COVID-19 testing point has been operating on U. S. Steel Košice premises. Hundreds of employees have made use of the chance to have themselves tested, but also their family members and ordinary residents of Košice. Many people decide which of the testing points to visit after checking how busy they are on the live camera feeds available on YouTube. With the agreement of the Regional Public Health Authority, the testing point at U. S. Steel Košice will be staying open until the pandemic situation improves. The Company recommends that all employees still coming to work at the plant get themselves tested regularly, every five to seven days, and inform their line manager about their test results. The validity of each result from any kind of COVID-19 infection test is affected by the mobility of the person tested: the more they move around and come into contact with other people, the shorter the validity and the greater the risk of infection becomes. Regular testing with negative results lessens the probability of infection spreading. Testing times are set to match the shift change-overs at the steelworks, and up-to-date information is available at www.usske.sk.
United States Steel Corporation (NYSE: X) today provided second quarter 2024 adjusted net earnings per diluted share guidance of $0.76 to $0.80.
