16th August, 2004 - A joint effort between U. S. Steel Kosice Plastipak Packaging, Inc and the U. S. Embassy in Bratislava is providing medical
supplies to local area hospitals in Kosice. Plastipak Packaging, Inc donated 3.2 tons of medical supplies and U. S. Steel Kosice hosts for transportation, customs proceeding and
distribution of health care material. This contribution included cooperation and support from the U. S. Embassy.
The ceremonial signing of the Deeds of Donation confirming the delivery of this healthcare material will take place on the ground of U. S. Steel Kosice on
Aug 16, 2004 at 10:00 am in the meeting room of the Public Affairs building in the presence of its representatives as well as representatives of Plastipak Packaging, Inc - Ralph Hoarau, deputy
chief of mission from US Embassy - Scott Thayer and directors of the beneficiary hospitals.
The president of the company Christopher J. Navetta said: "I am pleased that our company has also participated in this valuable project. I believe this material will
help the doctors in their looking after their patients.
"This health care material will serve in hospitalizing children, their daily complex care in the hospitals and daily patients of the Children Teaching Hospital
Kosice. I would like to thank both companies for this donation that will certainly improve the quality of the provided nursing care of not only our patients," said the director of the Children
Teaching Hospital in Kosice MUDr. Iveta Marinova.
