There’s no let-up in interest among U. S. Steel Košice employees in this year’s Great Competition. A total of 4 558 employees of USSK and the subsidiary companies joined in the third round in March, and altogether in the first three months of this year 13 140 answers to the competition quiz were sent in. The correct ones went into the draw for the main prize after the first three rounds of the competition, and on Friday, April 9, Lady Luck smiled on Ján Šütö from the Hot Rolling division. His prize is the new, metallic-blue Dacia Duster which steelmakers have been eyeing up outside the Public Affairs building for several weeks. The winning name was drawn by the Chairman of KOVO Labor Union at U. S. Steel Košice Juraj Varga, accompanied by the notary Vojtech Kavečanský and USSK Public Affairs Director Ján Bača.
Other valuable prizes were won in the draw by 38 successful participants in the third round, consisting of one voucher for KORAD radiators, two season tickets for HC Košice games in the next ice-hockey season, five vouchers for shopping in the Fresh supermarket chain, and 30 packs of USSK promotional items.
