Last wednesday, October 9, U. S. Steel Košice was visited by the new Ambassadress of the USA in the Slovak Republic Bridget Brink. Together with the members of her delegation she met Košice steel company President Jim Bruno, Vice President Human Resources and Transformation Karl Kocsis, Vice President External Affairs, Administration and Business Development Miroslav Kiraľvarga and Public Affairs Director Ján Bača. During the working meeting the Ambassadress was especially interested in the current situation regarding the steel industry in Slovakia and in Europe generally, but she also brought up the topics of support for education, corporate volunteering and Roma employment. She enjoyed a plant tour taking in several operations making high added-value products, including the production lines for electrical, galvanized and surface-coated sheets.
