On October 1 – 2 U. S. Steel Košice representatives were among the attendees in Košice at the 22nd in the series of annual international scientific conferences named DIS – the Theory and Application of Methods of Technical Diagnostics, prepared by the Slovak Association of Technical Diagnosticians, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Košice, the Czech Association of Technical Diagnosticians, the Slovak Maintenance Society, the Slovak Automobile Industry Association and the Association of Slovak Scientific and Technical Societies. Specialists from the academic sphere, industrial associations and member companies had a two-day program of discussions covering a great range of stimulating topics. They talked about risk reduction, technical diagnostics supporting Industry 4.0, progressive, non-destructive testing methods and standardization, but also about safety, quality and the environment in maintenance.
