For three days from November 12 to 14 this year, Vyhne was the venue for the jubilee 50th conference of industrial water management specialists. The discussions at this event covered a wide range of issues, from the challenges facing water management in the Slovak Republic and the legislation in this field through climatic changes and innovations in industry, and among the many presentations on various topics, several were given by specialists from the Košice steelworks. At this conference in fact the USSK Water Management operation gained an award for long-term progress in the field of industrial water management, and an individual award was presented to Agáta Mihalková, Manager for Water in the department of General Manager Environmental.
