Position / Pozícia: Senior Python Developer

U. S. Steel is looking for a Senior Python Developer to join our team. The role involves developing complex, scalable Python-based ML and WEB applications to improve process efficiencies and plant operations. You will collaborate with data scientists, software developers, project managers, and other internal business partners on multiple projects to implement software solutions with measurable business value.
Responsibilities:
• Build new features and design new CLI and interactive WEB applications, build proof of concept, prototypes, and production-grade software, by writing quality, clean, and maintainable Python code using programming best practices.
• Maintain, and support our product portfolio.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and business processes, converting them into solutions.
• Troubleshoot software issues and implement bug and vulnerability fixes.
• Develop automated tests and perform code reviews.
• Data visualization and related frontend design.

Nice-to-Have:
• DevOps experience with containerization (Docker), Kubernetes, and CD/CI pipelines.
• Strong database design skills and fluency in SQL statements.
• Expert knowledgebase of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
• Expertise in machine learning, data analysis, and preprocessing.

Other Requirements:
• Ability to lead team of developers.
• Ability to understand business processes.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Upper intermediate (B2) English proficiency.
• Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in the field.

Navrhovaný plat / Proposed salary:

3 300,00 € mesačne

We are offering base salary depending on seniority level and previous experience of candidate. In addition to base salary, we provide variable part and other financial benefits. Competitive salary starting from 3.300 EUR gross, depending on relevant experience
